a San Antonio native known for her artistic talents. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and has since built her own art business. She is also a Microsoft Certified Technician, and is currently offering her technical knowledge in an educational environment. When she is not working she cares for her two children alongside her husband of nine years. Audrey prides herself on ensuring Helen’s Project remains inclusive, by headlining our Rise up program specifically for the LGBTQ+ community in San Antonio.
A licensed Clinician. She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. Having spent several years as a mental health and addiction therapists, case manager and program coordinator; she has helped families deal with domestic violence challenges, rehabilitation of ex-offenders, provide mental health therapy and resources, and worked as an advocate for military families and children in disadvantaged communities.
A native Mississippian who made San Antonio, Texas home in 1997. He holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University, a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from Wayland Baptist University and the Honorary 33 Degree in Masonry. He served as the Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop # 96 facilitating five Eagle Scouts. Served on the Davis Scott YMCA Board, and currently own and operate Casa De Smitty’s on Houston Street. His goal is to work diligently to better our community one person at a time. Warren spent 15 years in the army. Serving in both Korea and Germany.
Sable is a Master's-level counselor intern for Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adam's State University. She has a passion for working with individuals impacted by trauma. Through her work, Sable has assisted veterans, individuals exposed to childhood abuse, and survivors of sexual abuse and exploitation regain a sense of identity beyond the events that so deeply impacted their lives. Sable hopes to one day become an expert in the field of trauma, and plans to ultimately pursue a doctoral degree in forensic counseling.
Rebecca is a Navy veteran, animal rights activist and tax expert. She is a big believer in equality and fair treatment of all sentient beings. Before joining Helen’s Project, Rebecca served 5 years in the army, started her own loan and tax firm and successfully managed a non profit organization before deciding it was time for a change. After a successful career, Rebecca now advises other people on how to succeed in business and nonprofits.
Lawrence is an application developer, policy analyst, writer and entrepreneur. He works with startups, writers, technology and data security. He provides IT solutions to complex business and nonprofit problems. Lawrence holds an MPA and MA from the University of Delaware. Lawrence is also the founder of The BL Project, a web and mobile application development startup.
